Group Head -
Milind Chaphekar the Head of the Group joined Cummins
India after his Graduation in Mechanical Engineering
and got the exposure to Hydraulic Systems & Application
for Engine Systems. The subject got him interested
in looking at all the systems from Basic Hydraulics
principles and then developing those to suitable applications.
Further exposure at Warde Brothers also was useful
to see the same principles working in the Water Supply
Pumping & Treatment applications. During the site
visits he found out that basic Mechanical principles
are ignored in the Civil Engineering work, which dragged
him to work in the Plumbing line and ensuring that
these aspects are taken care in the planning stage.
This was the beginning of M/s Milind Chaphekar as
a Consulting Engineer in the Plumbing Line.
He made all concerned aware of the need of the Plumbing
Consultant in any type of Construction such as Hotels,
Residential & Commercial Projects, Bunglows, Schools,
Hospitals etc.
He was instrumental in introducing the concept of
Hydro-pneumatic or Booster systems and its applications
such as pressurized supply eliminating the OverHead
tanks.
He was instrumental in Introducing and Popularizing
the concept of Non-Metallic or Composite Pipes for
concealed Water supply, Balanced Pressure Reducing
Valves in HighRise Buildings.
A complete setup for Design, Installation and Maintenance
was offered to the Clients which resulted in breaking
the market resistance for Non-Metallic Pipes.
He is very keen in studying & promoting the advanced
products & systems in the Water Management suitable
to the Indian conditions and infrastructure. At present
he is actively involved in promoting foreign concepts
and technologies such as
Air Admittance Valves in Drainage Ventilation
Vaccum Sewerage & Sanitation Systems
Syphonic Roof Drainage in Storm Water Management
Simultaneous and Uniform Water Distribution Systems
using speciality valves.
His moto is to give the End Solution rather than Individual
